Dr Alissia Kost

PhD research project name: Improving the utilisation of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) as a hormonal treatment for endometriosis in Australian primary care.
Alissia commenced her PhD candidature at SPHERE CRE in 2024 under the supervision of Professor Danielle Mazza and Dr Sharinne Crawford. As an Academic GP, Alissia also works as a Research Fellow for the Endometriosis Management Plan project at SPHERE. She has a Master of Public Health in Research Methods, research experience in public health clinical trials and women’s sexual and reproductive primary care research and clinical experience as both a GP and provider of women’s sexual, reproductive and shared maternity healthcare. Alissia’s PhD research focuses on improving the utilisation of LARC for treatment of endometriosis in Australian primary care.
