Empowering change for better health
The SPHERE Coalition was formed in 2020 to advocate for more equitable and improved sexual and reproductive health care in Australia. The Coalition is a cross-sectoral, multidisciplinary alliance comprising of clinician experts and consumers, representatives from peak bodies and key stakeholder organisations and eminent Australian and international researchers. Members collectively advocate for evidence-informed policy and practices in women’s sexual and reproductive health care through consensus statements that address:
- Improving access to effective contraception in Australia
- Removing barriers to abortion services
- Reproductive health policy and strategies
Our Focus
The SPHERE Coalition is committed to advocating for change to help women achieve optimal sexual and reproductive health. We collectively advocate for evidence-informed policy and practices in women’s sexual and reproductive health care.
Our advice
The SPHERE Coalition has developed a series of position statements that have impacted several key policy decisions on issues that affect women’s reproductive choices.
