Dr Anisa Assifi

Anisa is a Research Fellow and Project Manager of the MRFF-funded ALLIANCE trial. She is a public health qualitative researcher with an interest in sexual and reproductive health, particularly in abortion, adolescent health and more recently in community pharmacy. Anisa has worked in abortion research for 10 years at the World Health Organization, Geneva and University of Technology Sydney where she was awarded her PhD in 2021. She holds national-level appointments with AAAPC and PHAA and has been awarded TIDIRH Australia 2023 (University of Newcastle, Australia) and TUTOR-PHC 2024 (Western University, Canada) training fellowships. Anisa supervises honours and PhD students.
