Dr Shelly Makleff

Dr Shelly Makleff (she/her) is an applied researcher with a focus on translating evidence about abortion stigma, quality of care, and violence prevention to inform policy, practice, and health services. She has a McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowship (2024-2027) at the University of Melbourne, with a focus on co-design of strategies to reduce abortion stigma in the health system. She is an Adjunct Research Fellow in Global and Women’s Health at Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and SPHERE Research Affiliate.
