PhD research project name: Young People's Access to Abortion Services: Exploring the Role of Australian Primary Healthcare Settings in Facilitating Access and Support
Jenna is completing her PhD in the Department of General Practice at Monash University, supervised by Dr Sharon James, Dr Anisa Assifi and Dr Jessica Botfield. Her research explores young people’s access to medication abortion services in Australian general practice settings. She previously completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) at Monash University within SPHERE CRE in 2023, focusing on general practitioners’ views and experiences in providing postpartum contraception counselling and provision. Jenna works as a Research Assistant in SPHERE CRE and Teaching Associate at Monash University. Through her research, she aims to improve access to medication abortion for younger populations and contribute to more equitable reproductive healthcare.
