PhD research project name: Reproductive coercion: risk factors, health consequences and the role of general practice
Susan joined SPHERE in 2022 as a PhD candidate at Monash University’s Department of General Practice. Her research aims to identify the risk factors and health consequences of reproductive coercion and abuse in Australian general practice settings. Graduating with honours in Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne in 2021 after completing undergraduate studies in Health Sciences and Commerce, Susan conducted a qualitative study for her Honours thesis on telehealth medical abortion provision in Victoria. With aspirations to influence global health policy, she seeks to empower individuals in managing their sexual and reproductive health autonomously.
